Look what showed up today! It’s official, we are environmentally minded. As part of winter work I do paperwork, and lots of it. This year spring is coming way too fast, but next winter we are going for organic status and after that organic restorative agriculture status. In the meantime we will continue to operate like we always have, as naturally as possible.

Hello fall! Putting to bed all the plants and prepping for next year. One major winter project this year is finishing my huggelkulture hedgerow around my entire “ commercial “ area. So if anyone local has leaves from a pesticide and herbicide yard, I want them. We also need copious amounts of cardboard and wood chips. Putting signs down at the end of the drive this weekend, thanks in advance!

We make it through the summer by starting early and taking a longer lunch break and then doing a bit more in the evening if we aren’t hitting water somewhere. Little beat up, and tired but makes it possible to keep up the pace!
