Come, hold me close—this beautiful night may never come again;
We might not meet again in this lifetime.
Come,hold me close

By a stroke of fortune, these moments are ours today;
Gaze upon me to your heart's content, while I am close.
Who knows if such a moment will ever be your lot again?
Perhaps we may not meet again in this lifetime.
Come, hold me close

Come closer, for I shall not return again;
Let me wrap my arms around your neck and weep bitterly.
This shower of love from our eyes may never fall again;
Perhaps we may never meet again in this lifetime.
Come, hold me close

It is impossible to halt the passage of time;
Let us pause a while and live an evening filled with love.
For we may not have this companionship in life again,
And perhaps we may not meet again in this lifetime.
Come, hold me close

Life is beginning to fade; let us burn bright for a while longer.
These feet are about to come to a halt; let us walk a little further.
This hand may never again rest in mine;
Perhaps we shall not meet again in this lifetime.
Come, hold me close

All I have left are the heartbeats of my heart;
Please, accept this final gift of mine now.
I may not have this last offering to give again,
And perhaps we may not meet again in this lifetime.

Come, hold me close.
