A little late, again, posting. On September 28th after having a week of beautiful weather, we finished second cut. We had a great season, good weather and was able to put in close to 20,000 bales of first and second cut in the barns. We had 4 days to park all the equipment, finish getting the house ready and cleaned for company. Then on Saturday, October 4th our oldest got married! Yes, out of the tractors, blink, and into our wedding attire. What a rush but no words can describe it. She had a beautiful day, lots of sunshine for pictures. Very proud parents! Sorry no pictures, I wanted to be present for the day. Plus, my dress didn't have pockets. Haha! And now getting everything cleaned and put away for winter. 🥰

We are officially done first cut! Started cutting on July 4th and finished bailing August 4th. After a month of cutting, tedding, racking, bailing on 160 acres and 15953 bales in the barn we can take a "little rest" from the tractors before second cut. 😊❤️🚜

9h00 pm. Bailing is done for the night, still a few loads ti be picked up. On my way home with Hades in the leed.

After day 4, I stopped counting. After a few days of the same cycle, a few little showers, a "miner" repair and some smokey nights and morning we are still making some very nice hay. This evening we almost got rained on but the wind picked up and i was able to keep bailing. We have reached 9000 bales in the barn. We still have two more days left of hay on the ground, by Friday evening everything will be picked up. 🤞

2026 haying season has begun! Needed a few days to get pictures to share.
Day 1- Kevin cut
Day2- Leo tedded, Kevin cut more and I crimped.
Day 3 (today) - Kevin cut more, Leo racked and I started balling amd Kevin is finishing by picking them up. Finished the day with 1250 small square bales. Not bad for a first day! The weather looks good for a few more days, keep the tractors rolling.

It's been a busy week, our 2025 hay season has officially started and it's all hands on deck! Cut, crimp, tead (sometimes two to three times), rack and bale and don't stop tell the dew comes in. 😅 Went from empty barn to putting over 2800 bales in in 2 days. Thursday did over 600 and Friday was a long day did over 2200. Kevin and Sarah didn't come in until after 2 am from picking up the bales before the rain. Great start to the season! Now keep our fingers cross, no rain dance, only have 160 (or so) acres left. We can do it!!! 😁🚜🌞

It's been already a year. 2024 hay crop has started. Cut, crimp, tedd, rake, bale, pick up and stack. REPEAT! ! Here's hoping for nice weather to get done but we know mother nature has her own plans. 🙂

We are in the home streach of the haying season. Beautiful September weather = beautiful second cut hay. A few more days and we will be done!!!

Here we go again. Cut, tedd, rack, bale, pick up and stack. Repeat!!! 2023 haying season has begun. Now cross our fingers for no rain. 😁
