This time of year brings back memories of my Mom helping me cut Cucumbers for our Mustard Pickles and Tomatoes for our Chow
~~~ She loved coming to the shop on preparation day to help out and indeed she had the 'fastest' knife in town !!!

While Beets Are Boiling On The Stoves This Morning PIES Are Baking In The Ovens !!!
~~~ Apple Pie
~~~ Wild Blueberry Pie
~~~ Rhubarb Strawberry Pie
They will be warm out of the ovens and ready for pickup this afternoon :-)

This popped up in my feed today - Hard to believe it was 7 years ago....I recall that Tim and Barbara Adams popped into the shop unexpectedly on a day off and just when I was returnign back from a beach day :-)

Imagine running a small business and all the stress that goes with it ... Things are going well and then you get notice that your landlord is not renewing your lease.

Do you panic?

A bit I bet but if not if you are Carolyn Ryan-Laybolt. She went to work, found a space, secured a mortgage and kept going.

Today, Preserving Traditions is bigger than ever so not only did she keep going, they actually expanded and grew!

This wonderful operation is now also supporting 12 other local vendors and crafts people and you can find their works within the shop.

Not to mention the amazing food that comes of their kitchen
