Exp. Opacity 31, DDH Hazy IPA 6.5% ABV

For this release in our Opacity series, we experimented with a couple of variables for one simple goal: pure hop saturation. We decided to stay with our tried and true malt combo of some of the softest and palest malts Alberta has to offer, but mashed at an extremely high temperature (higher than most would dare to go). Hopped aggressively at 25g/L with some of our favourite lots of North American and New Zealand hops. We let Citra & Nelson lead the way with supporting roles from Krush and brand new Freestyle Peacharine Kief. Expect no mercy with this one. Overwhelming hop saturation showing notes of tropical fusion, peach Jarritos, and fresh-squeezed citrus.

Core: Autonomic Mind, Pineapple Peppercorn Saison 6.5% ABV

Saison is one of the most underappreciated styles and we aim to change that stigma. The French Saison strain is well known for its dry finish with big pineapple esters and pepper phenols. To emphasise these notes, the natural thought is to incorporate the real thing. We turned our mind on autopilot and did just that. Autonomic Mind is our natural progression to spicing up a solid base saison with its natural counterparts. The pineapple hits hard, finishing dry and spicy, with a nuanced tingly numbness from the peppercorns.

Malt: Pilsner, Vienna, Malted Wheat

Hops: Saaz

Yeast: French Saison

Adjuncts: Pineapple Puree, Peppercorns

Exp. Lucidity 18, DDH West Coast IPA 6.2% ABV

West Coast IPAs are here, and they are not going anywhere! Experimenting is what we do here, and were back at it again with another hop forward showcase. We played around with our mash profile to slightly increase the body while keeping the beer ultra dry using a blend of Alberta’s finest Pilsner & Chit malt from . Luminosa, developed by , is a super modern varietal that we wanted to highlight alongside the supporting characters of our hand-selected Citra and Mosaic Cryo. Expect notes of fresh lemon zest, berry confit, & grapefruit sorbet.
