I wanted to share this little moment with my customers. ❤️

My granddaughter, a little Canadian in the making. 🇨🇦 She made up her own version of “O Canada,” and it completely melted my heart.

Dear customers,

I would like to thank you for your continued support of Marina’s Cuisine.

Over the past year, we have seen several increases in the cost of ingredients, including chicken, meat, dairy products, packaging, transportation and other business expenses. Despite these increases, we have worked very hard to keep our prices unchanged for as long as possible and have absorbed many of these costs ourselves.

As a small local manufacturer, we do our best to provide high-quality homemade products at fair prices. Unfortunately, when the cost of raw materials continues to rise, there may come a time when we will need to make adjustments to some of our prices.

Please know that any future price increases are not something we take lightly. Our goal is always to keep our products affordable while maintaining the quality you expect from us.

Many people ask me, “Is this Ukrainian sauerkraut?”

In reality, sauerkraut itself is not Ukrainian, German, Polish, or Canadian.

Sauerkraut is simply naturally fermented cabbage made using two basic ingredients: fresh cabbage and salt.

When the correct salt ratio and fermentation conditions are maintained, cabbage naturally becomes a true probiotic food. No vinegar, no added water, and no pasteurization.

This traditional method has been used in many countries around the world. The differences are not in the fermentation process itself, but in family traditions and optional ingredients. Some people add carrots, apples, cranberries, caraway seeds, or other ingredients.

There are thousands of variations, and every family and culture prepares it in its own way.

But the foundation always remains the same: cabbage, salt, and natural fermentation.

As a Food Science graduate and professional chef, I deeply respect this traditional and scientifically sound process.

Simple ingredients. True fermentation. Natural probiotics.
