This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The City of Edmonton is issuing a water supply alert.

This alert is in effect for the entire City of Edmonton.

Heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours has pushed the region's stormwater system to capacity, with localized flooding and backups being reported in neighbouring communities. If the stormwater system continues to operate over-capacity, flooding and sewer backups will continue to increase.

Avoid unnecessary indoor water use. Limit showers and baths. Delay laundry and dishwasher use. Ensure sump pumps and downspouts are functioning properly to direct water away from homes. For more information, check https://epcor.com/ca/en/ab/edmonton.html

Spring is here! Let’s get our favorite street shiny!

Let’s Tidy Up the Core! 🧹✨

Dusting off the winter salt and grit is a true Edmonton spring tradition. To keep the momentum going after the city-wide Friday efforts, we’re partnering with our friends at Rotary for a community-led tidy-up!

Come join your neighbours for a couple of hours to get our streets and green spaces looking their best. It’s a low-pressure way to get some fresh air and make a visible difference in the backyard we all share. 🌳🏙️
