It’s our OG Taprooms Birthday TODAY! We got a brand new beer called Smoke City on tap, made right here at OG.

We selected a whole bunch of citrus fruits, navel oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruits, clementines, pomelos, tossed them on the smoker and cranked it up to eleven. Then we juiced ‘em all at tossed that straight into the kettle, imparting a beautiful smoke into this fruit forward, soft wheat beer. Perfect for a hazy afternoon on the patio, and proof that in our old age we can still have fun and get weird.

The California Common, born n’ bred in San Francisco, –often known as Steam Beer– is brewed with a specific lager yeast designed to ferment at higher-than-normal temperatures, producing a clean, clear malt-forward mid-weight beer with a dry lingering bitterness.

Eight years ago, we opened our first taproom in Edmonton. We’ve outgrown it, given it a few facelifts, and opened a few more places since, but the OG is still where it all started. Now, it’s where our R&D brewery and art department call home.
So come celebrate 8 years with a new experimental beer brewed in the back, snag a new tee designed in the back, and score a deal on deadstock merch that’s been taking up space in the back.
Lastly, come have a $5 pint all weekend and say hi to our OG Taproom staff. Some have been with us since day one, and we couldn’t do any of this without them.
