This 10th Bentiversary beer is a throwback from as far back as our lil brewin’ arms can toss!

Brick is Red was our very first release along with Swap the Hops! Inspired by a hoppy red ale from an early craft brewery in the UK, putting an assertive amount of hops in a darker beer sure felt like some ground breaking stuff ten years ago. We’ve always remembered this one fondly and we’ve been practicing this beer making thing a lot since then and can’t wait for you to give it a whirl! 🤗

Shoutout to Keg n Cork Liquor Company and The Next Act for the support right out of the gate! 😘

Our pals at Beaumont Music Festival dropped off 2 PAIRS OF WEEKEND PASSES to giveaway for this weekend, June 19th and 20th!

BMF kindly buys beers from us that you can enjoy throughout the grounds! 🍻

This year they also have organized with ETS so that you can grab a bus there and back from Edmonton AND it’s the first year with camping options on site! 🚌💨⛺️

If you’d like to check it out, just tag a pal you’d like to bring with you! We’ll fire up the randomized and contact winners on Wednesday afternoon. 🎟️

This Sunday we’re excited to welcome to the taproom for this month’s Bent Ear Song & Story Session!

The dull winters, frigid mornings and endless skylines of the Canadian prairies have played a pivotal role in shaping the characters and stories that find their way into Jake Ian’s wonderfully charming folk songs. His captivating live performances and consistent musical output have won him countless admirers in the Western Canadian roots scene. Ian’s latest album, “Lawrence” presents him at his most authentic. He walks the production balance-beam skillfully throughout, supporting the songs with sparse instrumentation that allow the stories within to take the forefront, each tune beautifully crafted and executed.

Our pal will be getting set up for a show at Sunday evening, but the ever-talented will be kindly joining us to host!

Pop on in for an afternoon of warm atmosphere and cold beers! 🍻

Our annual batch of Salinity Now! salted citrus pale ale is ready for your slurping pleasure!
🍋‍🟩⚡️🍊⚡️

We’re not salty about it, but we spend a whole buncha time butchering oranges and limes to add to the kettle along with the perfect amount of fancy salt to really make the whole thing pop. It’s definitely beer but with a little bit of a margarita-ness to it. 👌

On tap and in cans ‘til it’s not! Swing by for $6 pints until 6pm! 🍻

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! …It’s Patrick with our latest 10th Bentiversary beer! 🦸‍♂️

Want to know a secret?? We made Fly Over IPA once in 2021 and it was just a batch of Electric Boogaloo gone
awry!

When brewing hazy IPA’s, we dump a bunch-o hops in during fermentation where enzymes in the yeast interact with them and produce big fruity flavour compounds in a process called biotransformation. This also makes the beer hazy lookin’. We tried adding the hops at a different time and the beer came out totally clear and with the Citra, Mosaic, and Ella hop flavours as they naturally are, which was still delicious! But it definitely wasn’t Boog.

We still have folks ask for this one, and it’s a fun little story to tell. Not an East Coast style hazy and not
quite a malty bitter West Coast IPA, this beer pours as clear as the midwestern sky and uses the same new-school fruity hops as Electric Boogaloo but without the sciency biotransformation part. It’s pretty interesting to taste the difference! We’ve learned a lot over the past decade, and this is one of those liquid lessons.

Our pals at the Beaumont Music Festival kindly let us supply beer to enjoy with the tunes! ETS is extending service between Beaumont and Millwoods ‘til 11:45 if you’d like a safe ride from Edmonton 🍻

Alrighty, this Friday for 5-10pm and Saturday for the Grown Up Book Fair 1-6pm, you can buy a can on our patio or get a pint in a compostable cup and feel free to wander the event on 78th Ave! You can grab bevies at and too!

It is important to note that unless it is for a special event, please stick to enjoying your beers in the taproom or on the patio to keep us outta trouble. 😘

Next Saturday our friends from Audreys Books will be joining us to host another Grown Up Book Fair out front on 78th Ave! It’s got all the whimsy from what you remember as a school kid, but with beers!📚⚡️🍺⚡️

The sandwich authors from Pals Sandwiches will be serving from their food library, and Mother by Chartier will be slingin’ bookish baked goods.

Prairie Song Alliance has also lined up music to make this a great afternoon cover to cover. 🤗

We hosted a book fair with Audrey’s for their 50th anniversary last year and it was a hit! Looking forward to having them out front with more room for books and to test drive our new “events district” designation!

You can wander out of breweries and around the street freely with beers during the hours of these designated events. We’re certainly looking forward to this new chapter on . 🍻
