🍜3 NEW VIETNAMESE SPOTS🍜
All opened late in 2025
🍜Westside
- Tasty Appetizers like fried squid and one of the few spots offering tapioca dumplings!
- Vermicelli was perfectly grilled and offer 5 color (ie 5 different toppings) $18-$23
- Bunbohue was flavourful and perfect spice level for me ($17-$18)
- they have a kids size pho option for only $9!! Perfect for parents who have little ones!
- Most comfortable and spacious of the 3
🍜Southside on Whyte
- Giant Shrimp spring rolls - nice to see this shrimp option!
- stone bowl beef rib noodle soup $24 - fall off the bone rib and super flavourful! My fave thing I would keep coming back for.
- large portions
- large variety of refreshing drinks. I had lychee green tea and it had real pieces of lychee in it!
- most busy of the 3 due to central location and tasty food. Wait time on weekend was over an hour! I went back on a weeknight and made resos.
🍜Northside
- stone bowl beef rib noodle soup is offered with Pho or BBH. I asked for BBH broth with Pho noodles $23
- vermicelli ($14-$16) - cheapest out of the 3 spots
- regular pho noodles ($15-$17)
- bit tight for larger groups as it’s smaller inside.
I enjoyed the food at all 3. Definitely steps up the Vietnamese food in YEG! They were all busy so expect slower service during meal times. Have you tried any of these new spots?? Which one was your fave?
