Throwback to a huge filter renovation we completed last fall!

The old horizontal sand filters were replaced with brand-new Poltank deep-bed vertical filters, along with all-new Sch. 80 piping and valves. The project was completed with new housekeeping pads for a clean, durable finish.

Before & After: SPECK Pump Upgrade Complete!

Another pump upgrade complete. The old metal pumps were removed, along with the 10” and 8” fiberglass wyes, and the mains were re-piped using Schedule 80 PVC tees.

Each pool’s double-pump heat system was replaced with a single pump for a cleaner, more streamlined setup. Lug-style valves were also added to the surge tank connections to improve serviceability.

To help protect the new system, seismic-style pipe support systems were installed to reduce stress on the piping and pumps.

A complete upgrade for improved serviceability, support, and long-term performance.

💡 Underwater Lighting Upgrade - City of Powell River, BC.

Out with the old, in with the LED. We replaced obsolete Hydrel and Jacuzzi Q500 incandescent lights with highly efficient LED lighting.

The upgrade provides improved energy efficiency, enhanced visibility and safety, and a major visual improvement to the aquatic centre. Custom-fabricated adapters were also provided to retrofit the modern LED lights into the existing wall niches.

A great example of how the right lighting upgrade can make a big difference in both performance and appearance.

A great example of improving both safety and efficiency on site.

Before: 408 kg of pressurized toxic chlorine gas stored on standby.

After: On-site chlorine generation producing 500 g/hour, supplying both pools from one central solution tank.

A significant reduction in the amount of hazardous gas stored on site, while maintaining a reliable chlorine supply for the pools.
