Every show has a way of teaching us something.
This weekend in Stettler was no exception. We came home proud of what our birds accomplished and thankful for another opportunity to measure our breeding program against outstanding competition. The quality of the birds on display was exceptional, and that’s what keeps pushing us to improve and attain the bar or set the bar.
One of the highlights for me was spending time with fellow exhibitors, catching up with friends, and having the chance to learn from others. A special thank you to the judge for taking the time to answer everyone’s questions throughout the day. Experience is always so valuable, but so is the willingness to keep learning. That’s something we hope never changes.
The weather certainly tested both exhibitors and birds, but it was great to see everyone doing their best to keep bird welfare first.
Thank you to the show committee, volunteers, fellow exhibitors, and everyone who made the weekend enjoyable. It was a well put together event.
