Since we are almost all cleaned up, we figured it was about time to let you know what's available and prices.
Same prices as last year (yay!).
Sizes available from 100mL to 4L of Amazing maple syrup, jars of delicious maple butter and melt in your mouth maple sugar. We even have some Golden available this year, but once that's gone, it's gone.

Tonight we are hosting Rideau lakes fire and rescue training at the farm. No need for alarm if you drive by and see fire trucks in the yard

End of season clean up has begun, we pull the taps with the vacuum on to clear most of the remaining sap from the lines. The white adapters are a seasonal spout. Next year we will put a new one in the tree. Reason for this is to keep bacteria out of the tap hole from the old spile. After the taps are pulled and lines drained we go around to each drop line and put 12ml of isopropyl alcohol into the line to sanitize it for the off season. The start of next year's season once tapped we flush the lines to remove the alcohol before collecting the sap

Yesterday was the end of maple season for us, turned out to be another record breaking year beating last years record by 10 liters. Time for clean up and to start planning for next year's season

Big day of boiling, 13,300 gallons of sap nearly processed away into syrup. We have golden and amber bottled on the shelves.

Yesterday's sap run yeilded 3.16 gallons of sap per tap or just over 12000 gallons of sap from our maple bush
