We’ve been pretty grateful over the last couple stormy days to head out and not find four feet pointing the wrong way up.
Now onto getting our cows into our pasture. This year we are trying to aggressively graze our native pasture as it’s become VERY overgrown. With some tree removal this should allow for more sunlight to hit the ground and more grasses to prosper!
This is a labour intensive job but we’re looking forward to seeing the results! Hopefully 🤞

It is a beautiful day..the sun is shining and everyone is happy! 🙂
Except Clarence the Duck…he’s a little testy this morning as one of his girlfriends starting sitting on eggs 🙂 he’s quite persistent that we stay out of his pen and tends to go for the toque or the zipper on your coat 😅 here’s to hoping we make it through these next 30 days without him killing us 🤣

Things may be a little chilly outside today but they are heating up in our brooder! Yesterday was hatch day! Everyone is now getting settled into there new home with complimentary pats for each chick! Thanks again to Cater Corner Poultry for supplying us with fantastic hatching eggs ♥️

The last 24hours have been keeping us on our toes around here! 6 calves in 12 hours, which is quite a bit for our small little herd! The kids got a hands on lesson last evening on how to safely pull a calf, which ended in smiles and some kids that were VERY proud they got to take part.
The barns been shuffled multiple times and all our babies are toasty warm! Now things can settle down a bit 😅
