"It's hearts on fire & crazy dreams"
Not really sure what to say about Carman Fair 2026. So many great moments in and outside of the show ring. Thanks to Pam DeRocquigny for taking pictures again, she always captures those special moments.
Delaney and Velvet Thundah had a great week. Meeting the 1350 lb goal we set back in December was a real win. She came out of mid-weight split in a very satisfying 2nd place.
Velvet Thundah was also part of the team that earned Delaney Reserve Intermediate Showman. Thank you to Cor Lodder, Walinga Inc. for purchasing her steer, your continued support is truly appreciated.
Delaney and Tinkles, (sheep) had a fantastic day Friday morning, winning the intermediate division and then Grand Champion Overall Sheep Showman. Thank you to Johnathon Nichol ( Jennifer Nichol ) for purchasing Tinkles. We'd also like to thank Johnathon for his constant support and advice to all the sheep 4-H members, and helping them with clinics, and workshops. We've learned a lot in the last 2 years!
Delaney and NVR Gillian LO 64N had a great day on Saturday in the Manitoba Shorthorn Summer Show:
Grand Champion Female in the Junior Show
Reserve Grand Champion Female in the Open Show
Nolan and NVR On The River 1M (sorry too hot to take pictures Saturday!) placed Reserve Grand Champion Bull in the Shorthorn Summer Show.
Congratulations to First Class Shorthorns for their Grand Champion wins in both the Male and Female Division!

Carman Fair is here! Delaney & the Elm Creek, Graysville & Miami 4-H Beef Clubs will be showing & selling their steer & lamb projects, Thursday July 9th at 6:30.
Delaney's steer weighed in at 1350 lbs, and her lamb, Tinkles, weighed in at 126 lbs.

Another great Miami Fair in the books for Delaney. Friday afternoon started with the Open 4-H Sheep Show. Delaney & Tinkles worked together well enough to win Grand Champion Showman. In the market class, Tinkles placed a respectable 3rd.
After supper, it was time to compete in 4-H Interclub Judging, results will be shared at Carman Fair. Delaney also participated in her 1st ever team judging challenge.
Saturday morning started cloudy & dry with Showmanship & a 2nd place in Intermediate division.
At lunch the rain came down in a steady drizzle, but the 4-H members put their best foot forward & still put on a quality show. Thank you to the organizers for their hard work, and congratulations to the winners!
