Hoofenfeather Farm is looking to add additional morning staff members to our team!

📍Elmsdale, NS

🥕MORNING POSITION: This position will be for 1-2 mornings a week with an opportunity to add hours for evenings, night checks, and projects as well. Morning chores run from 8:00am-12:00noon and include blanketing, turnout, picking and bedding stalls, sweeping, and prepping snacks/suppers. Morning staff members must have horse experience and reliable transportation.

Hoofenfeather Farm is looking to add one morning staff member and additional afternoon staff members to our team!

📍Elmsdale, NS

🥕MORNING POSITION: This position will be for 1-2 mornings a week with an opportunity to add hours for evenings, night checks, and projects as well. Morning chores run from 8:00am-12:00noon and include blanketing, turnout, picking and bedding stalls, sweeping, and prepping snacks/suppers. Morning staff members must have horse experience and reliable transportation.

🥕AFTERNOON POSITION: this position will be for 1-3 afternoons per week with an opportunity to add hours for projects as well. Afternoon chores take between 2-3 hours and include hay, feed, bringing horses in, blanket changes, rinsing buckets, water, sweeping, etc. we prioritize getting the horses in before dark so chore time moves depending on when the sun sets! We’re looking for candidates who pay keen attention to detail and prioritize the quality of their work! Students are welcome to apply

Welcome to Hoofenfeather Farm!

Since 2005, Hoofenfeather Farm has been home to cattle, sheep, fowl, turkeys, chickens, ducks, goats, alpacas, and horses. From a humble beginning of a few chicks and two young lambs, the farm as expanded in several directions over the years.

After venturing into various types of farming, we decided to stick with what we love the most- horses! Bordering on 600’ of the Shubenacadie river, Hoofenfeather Farm now consists of a large 12 stall horse barn, pastures, trails, a competition size riding ring, a chicken coop, and pens for our sheep, goats, and alpacas.
