Sunflowers giving joy to the humans. . . and feeding the fauna!

We planted about an acre of sunflowers, millet, corn and wheat on contour. Our plan was to attract as many birds as we could. We all know what flows down hill and the birds leave behind a beautiful bioactive gift every time they take off!

We normally plant wildflowers along the hedgerows and in the ditches to attract pollinator. Unfortunately, our supplier ran out before we ordered. So we threw down what we had on hand. It just happens that it worked out. And, we get to feed the birds, the bees and enjoy our own little patch of sunshine.

Great News, we’ve moved our market to the farm to serve our neighbours better. Every Saturday from 9am to 1pm you will be able to pick up your orders at the barn on Highway 14.

Can’t make it to the farm? No worries, Joan will be doing deliveries in our market area every second Friday starting 16 September. You can also choose pick up in the parking lot at 65 Cobequid every second Friday between 5 pm & 6 pm.

You can place your order by calling or texting Joan, visiting our website or by email. Sorry, we don’t take orders through FB.
