A little butchering throwback 😄

We just finished up our last poultry butchering at CSR yesterday with a final horah of turkeys 🤗 and had to commemorate the occasion!

Thought I would go back in the archives to where it all started. In the shop, with the family butchering our own chickens to fill our own freezer. Time together, kids learning, knowing exactly how each animal was grown and processed. Life long skills that has and will be passed down through generations!

We have grown and expanded with the people on our crew and the equipment we use, and now not only do we fill our freezers but yours as well! We care about you knowing where your food comes from and we feel honoured to supply you with premium products ☺️

FARM TOUR - HARVEST FEAST - LIVE 🎶!!
Come spend a September evening with us celebrating good farming, good food and the amazing community of people all around us!
We’ll begin at Cool Springs Ranch with a behind-the-scenes regenerative farm tour — meet the animals, see how we raise your food, and learn a little about the land and farming practices behind what ends up on your plate.
Then we’ll head down the road 16 milesto The Banks of Loch Lomond, our new 565-acre retreat tucked into the Saskatchewan boreal forest, for a true farm-to-fork Harvest Feast.

🎶 We’ll settle in for a live concert with Brian Paul DG, a renowned Saskatchewan singer/song writer, for the perfect ending to a harvest evening.

Summer has been full on, chickens, summer projects, The Banks and haying!
Here is our haying team!! Beau and Sam are getting it done! Though we had a wet spring and couldn't get on the field to early this year, it is looking like a lush hay crop and our cows this winter are going to devour!!

This weather has not been called for especially for the middle of May but animals still need fed, fences still need fixed and calves are still being born 😅
Hope everyone is crossing their fingers and toes for an absolutely amazing summer and fall, we deserve it! 😂
