Rosborough's Funny Farm
Covid-19 and Farm Safety Plan
Welcome back to the farm, the provincial lockdown has been lifted and
in order to open safely, and per the provincial regulations, all persons that attend the farm will have to follow the farm and covid safety plan:
1. If you have a covid bubble and wish to come with another family, we are able to accommodate. There is limited space in the
animal enclosures so we will have to ensure we are able to do so safely
2. If anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms that may be related to
Covid-19, please be sure to cancel your visit as early as possible so that the spot may be opened for other visitors. The day of your scheduled visit, please assess each member of your party for the following and report to the farm any area of concern. (fever, cough, sneeze, runny nose, congestion, nausea, vomitting, recent exposure to anyone with covid 19, recent travel to an area with increased covid-19 risk)
3. Everyone 2 years old and over is required to wear a mask while in the animal enclosure area. Masks need to cover nose and mouth and be secure under your chin and fit snugly against the sides of your face.
4. Please attempt to maintain the 6 foot safety distance between yourselves and your tour guide where possible.
5. Handwash before and after visiting the farm. Winter washroom facilities are in the main household so are for emergency purposes only. We do have hand sanitizer available in the chalet at the sliding hill.
6. One family or one covid bubble pod will be allowed on the snow hill at one time to minimize exposure to others.
7. Reminder that all of the animals are extremely friendly however they are animals. By requesting a visit you will be required to be attentive to the animal moods, if your guide advises you to keep distant from a certain animal it will be because the behaviour or mood of that animal is out of the ordinary. Spring is mating season and many of the animals have hormonal changes at this time that can change their normal demeanor. Some enclosures may not be accessible for this reason.
8. Please do not bring treats for the animals, this also makes them sometimes become competative and increases the risk of injury for animals or visitors.
9. Remember to wear appropriate footwear, while we work constantly to keep the grounds clear of p**p, it happens at a farm and we don't want you to ruin a great pair of boots or shoes.
10. Remind your children before they come that the experience with the animals is much better with balanced calm energy. The animals are so much more welcoming if we are calm and don't appear threatening to them. While it is rare, your guide may ask a child to leave the enclosure and take time to balance their energy before returning to see the animals. Our goal is to have everyone experience the benefit of being close to an animal. Adults attending with children are responsible for ensuring they are following the directions of your guide.
