We said last week was busy, but it appears it was just the beginning! With a quick trip to Windsor for a wedding while it rained, Jason got his first field of Soybeans seeded right before hand, finishing at 4 in the morning before the rain!

Coming back home and realizing north of Englehart didn't get any of that rain made for quite the scramble to finally get the canola field planted! Thanks to friendly neighbors the prep work is all done, just needs to be seeded now!

As always, beef boxes, quarters, and halves available! Check out our FB page for more info and pricing!

Oh yes. Can't forget turkey day!

Been busy the last few days. Beef delivery to family and friends in Sault Ste Marie went well! Jason enjoyed turning 30 with a steak dinner with his family, then the peace and quiet of a day at camp.

Monday turned out to be a typical Monday however! The truck drove 1500km no problem, but 5km on a Monday morning was too much for it! To add insult to injury, the spare was just as flat! Thank goodness there's great people in the neighborhood to help out!

We did end the day on a positive note however, everyone meet Dwight. Jimothy's new friend! (Son actually, but not sure if he's gonna be the best of fathers, friends seem to be a better fit)

Getting pretty busy around here these days! Tractor greased and ready, seed Drill dragged out of storage and seed and fertilizer ready to go in wagons.

We are heading to Sault Ste Marie this weekend on a beef delivery, but come Monday, as long as things stay relatively dry, it's go time!

We have also been getting lots of comments on our meat packages, lots of people interested in just the beef, as they have their own supply of chicken.

We understand that, and have henceforth made an ALL BEEF package! Same great price of $200, so stock up now for May 24!

Don't forget, we're also selling those Half Beef raffle tickets! Winner chosen when all 150 get sold!

GIVEAWAY! GIVEAWAY! GIVEAWAY!

The sun is shining. The calendar has turned to may! It seems to be a great start to the busy spring season… just kidding, I woke up to frost and -3 this morning!

But that's okay, we'll still pretend and BBQ like we're heading to the lake this weekend!

With all this being said, I think it's time we announce our 2 summer promotions, which we will be running from now… until fall I suppose.

First, compliments to my uncle for the idea, as we are aware, just as much as you are, the dramatic increase in the price of beef lately. With that said we've decided to do a raffle to give someone the chance of winning a whole HALF!

With only just $20 each, message us for your tickets, and as soon as we sell through the 150 booklet, we will draw a winner!

The second contest requires a bit more work, but costs nothing.

Everyone who LIKES! SHARES! and COMMENTS down below what you figure this little lady will weigh by September, with the closest winner getting a FREE half beef!

Just a bit of background info, we finished out a half sister to her last year, that averaged 1210lbs, with our average animal weighing 1315lbs, she is the same age as the the rest of the group pictured with her, and she may be feisty enough to hold her own against the biggest steers in the pen, im just not sure she'll grow out to her cousins potential!

Well… Jason learned another lesson heavy hauling today. Even when you know the backgrounds will take twice as long, and will be twice as rough, just take it anyways…

You can't blame the cops though, they're just doing their jobs, making sure the highways are safe.

That means the onus is on the farmer, making sure tires are inflated properly, safety chains hooked up, pin and r clip are tight, everything strapped down… insurance papers updated!

Otherwise you might run into some problems! Like a very persistent call to a very loving and patient wife to send you a copy electronically!

Just a warning today thankfully, replace the missing bolt on one wheel hub, and straighten up the slow moving sign, but there's always next time, and you just have to forget that one thing…

It was quite a productive day yesterday! Started out early, broadcasting some forage seeds on our new ground, hoping the frost action in the coming weeks gives it great germination!

Jason also finally has his hands on something he's wanted for close to a decade!! An automatic guidance system!!

They sell new for quite a few $$$, but he got this one used on a good deal! Spent a few hours setting it up, and voila straight lines this spring! Still a bit of tweaking needed, better mounts and angles, but altogether, pretty happy with it.

We also have sold out of almost all our fresh Quarters and halves till late May, and we're already half way sold out of those!

We still have our beef boxes, and 2 quarters left in the freezer. But don't delay, order yours now before spring hits the ground running!

Jason caught the auction bug last night. It might not be the newest wagon to get bought. But still a couple decades newer than our current one.

Plus safety is important, and this wagon will road much better when Jason goes to collect his corn every 3 weeks.
