Kelsey is a basket weaving instructor and herbalist whose work is rooted in slow, intentional living and a deep relationship with the land. Guided by seasonal rhythms and the quiet wisdom of plants, she blends traditional weaving techniques with mindful presence.

Using locally gathered materials with respect for natural cycles and regeneration, Kelsey creates welcoming spaces where participants can slow their pace, work with their hands, and reconnect with nature, community, and themselves. She believes weaving and herbalism are both practices of remembering—how to listen, how to gather gently, and how to build meaningful relationships with the plants that share our world.

Well, it's obviously Wet Wednesday so here are some pictures from our fen taken yesterday. FYI, we may need to relocate our Fenshui sound bowl experience to the woodlands to avoid taking a sound bath. Lol! What a drastic change from even a week ago!

Heading into Westmount tomorrow. Does anyone need anything along the way? Rainbow Protein Pearls, plants, wool (just have small bags until the girls finish shedding), chicks, a hug? We'll be at the Westmount Shopping Centre for 11:30ish, so plan accordingly. Lol!

Greenhouses are not these amazing structures that you set and forget. To balance out the drastic temperature swings we can get in our climate, having appropriate venting, shade cloths, and heat sinks like these water tanks or soil banks is super important! A lot of work goes into designing a good greenhouse so it can be the most efficient and useful when you need it most😉

In spring, a greenhouse can heat up to temperatures that are no longer beneficial for young plants. And on the flip side, cool down at night cooler than you would expect. Installing a water body of some sort can help with that temperature fluctuation. It can be a beautiful water tank, even with some flowers, or a simple barrel. We'll be at UFA in Spruce Grove at 11ish today, the Westmount Shopping Centre around noonish and again at 3:30 pm, and at Beach Corner at 4ish. Headed to the Wildwood area early evening. If you need eggs, plants, wool, or I don't know what 😅, let me know before the Zombie Truck leaves!

Wandering around the yard while I was waiting for the pump to fill my tire. This is why I spot mow, mow at increased heights, and rotationally graze with our sheep. We would be mowing down all of these wonderful natives otherwise!
