This one didn’t make it home with anyone yesterday so I get to have it on my kitchen windowsill. Lucky me! If you missed getting flowers at the market yesterday you can still pick some up on St. Clair West today. Flowers make it really feel like spring is finally here!

Some news regarding our 2026 season - After a tumultuous fall we have been looking closely at our priorities and how we can organize our farm season for a better work life balance. We have decided that we will not run our CSA programme this season to ease up some of the pressure and allow us to take an occasional day off.

This is a hard decision as our members have been an important part of our farm community and we appreciate all of the support they have offered us over the last 5 years. In addition the CSA model provides important income for the farm over the winter months when we are hard at work planning, starting seeds and working on infrastructure but do not have crops to harvest and sell. As such, we have decided to try the gift card model for those who would like to support the farm and receive a discount on produce and flowers throughout the season. We are offering a 10% discount on gift cards purchased valuing between $300 and $499 and a 15% discount on gift cards purchased valuing over $500. This discount will be available until March 31, 2026 using codes COYOTECLUB and COYOTEQUEEN and can be purchased here: https://app.squareup.com/gift/MLGAZHEGTR24H/order Gift cards can be used to purchase produce, flowers, seasonal decor and for farm-stay camping.

We will continue to grow produce and flowers without the use of chemical inputs, employing all of the knowledge we are gathering about tending to the health of our soil and our environment. This year we will also be tending to our own health a little bit more too.

I hope the new year finds you all healthy and brings with it a renewed sense of hope and optimism in spite of the hard news we seem to hear every day about the state of the world around us. I have no answers for the big problems but am certain that caring for each other and building healthy soil and healthy communities can only help make our lives and our world just a little bit better.
