Commercial Operations Coordinator – Fergus, Ontario (Hybrid)

1847 Stone Milling works directly with Ontario farmers to source organic grains and mill them using traditional stone milling methods. We are growing quickly and looking for the right person to help us keep things moving.

THE ROLE
This is a hands-on, execution-focused position sitting at the intersection of customers, suppliers, and operations. You will manage the day-to-day flow of product and information from farm to mill to customer. This is not a narrow role. You will be expected to take ownership and solve problems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage incoming orders across retail and wholesale channels and respond to customer inquiries
- Track inventory levels and coordinate replenishment with farmers and suppliers
- Communicate regularly with grain farmers to coordinate harvests, volumes, and deliveries
- Support organic certification requirements, lot traceability, and compliance documentation
- Monitor order accuracy, shipping timelines, and customer feedback

WHO YOU ARE
- Highly organized, reliable, and solutions-focused
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- At ease communicating with both customers and farmers
- Motivated by building something real

EXPERIENCE
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in operations, customer service, agriculture, food, or supply chain
- Experience working with farmers, agriculture programs, or organic supply chains is an asset
- Comfort with basic systems (email, spreadsheets, order tracking tools)
- Interest in food, agriculture, and local supply chains

LOCATION
Fergus, Ontario. This role is primarily on-site with flexibility for hybrid work where appropriate. It is not a
fully remote position.
