Secret Lands Farm Welcome to Secret Lands Farm, a family-run sheep farm offering small-batch high quality dairy, cheese and lamb meat. https://www.secretlands.ca/

We offer home delivery to selected GTA and using third-party shipping to other provinces. Our family takes great pride in owning and running a sheep dairy farm south of Owen Sound in Ontario. We purchased the land seven years ago … and since then, our pesticide-free pastures provide grazing for over 400 sheep. By combining modern technology with old-world European family traditions, we produce a hormone-free range of delicious dairy products, artisanal cheeses, and meats. We only produce in small batches, using our own sheep’s milk, our own fresh well water, and fresh air, giving us complete control of our superb quality taste and nutritional benefits. Our customer relationships are of prime importance to us, so we focus our attention on touch-less delivery in these Covid times, giving you the joy of convenient and safe access to our high-quality range of foods. Here are just some of its known baaa-nefits:

It’s more acceptable to the human digestive system in comparison to cow’s and goat’s milk. It’s loaded with vitamins and minerals. It has more of the major nutrients we need than even cow and goat milk
It’s the good kind of fat! The kind that helps our bodies absorb vitamins, and it’s thought to lower cholesterol, inhibit cancer growth, and contain healthy bacteria that’s good for our guts too
It’s a rich source of calcium. Known to have positive effects on disorders like hypertension, osteoporosis, and obesity.

Dear Friend,

This Canadian Thanksgiving, we invite you to join us at Secret Lands Farm for a celebration of harvest, gratitude, and artisanal flavors.

On Sunday, October 11th, 2025, we will gather around a long table to share a farm-crafted brunch, featuring our roasted bone-in lamb leg, artisanal cheese & charcuterie, a seasonal harvest salad, and hand-made pumpkin pastries.

The afternoon promises warmth, elegance, and authenticity — a true taste of the land we cherish.

You know our food. Now meet our family. 🤎

We are Alexander, Sophie, and Roman Burov—the family behind Secret Lands Farm.

Alexander and Sophie have spent 44 years building a life together. There have been different careers, two sons, new beginnings, and more ideas than there are hours in a day. Starting a sheep dairy farm was one of those ideas—and turning it into reality became our shared work.

Alexander knows this farm inside out. From caring for the sheep to making hay, he carries an enormous responsibility every day. On Saturdays, his day begins at 2:00 a.m., getting ready to bring our food to The Stop Farmers’ Market.

Sophie brings the ideas, the stories, and the welcome. From learning cheesemaking in Italy to teaching Roman, answering your messages, cooking for gatherings, and meeting you at markets, she connects what happens here with the people we feed.

Roman brings his hands and heart to the creamery. He makes our dairy and cheeses, milks alongside Sierra, leads farm tours, and meets our customers at St. Lawrence Market every Saturday.

Our roles overlap. We help one another. And there is always something else to do.

But our beliefs remain simple: care for our animals, respect the land, take pride in our food, and be honest with the people who choose it.

Our hope is to keep building something worth carrying forward—and to share a little more of that life with you.
