The title My story with kefir.
This is my personal story with kefir.
I started drinking kefir not because it was trendy.
I started because I needed hope.
When I was a child, I had surgery and a blood transfusion. Years later, I learned that through that transfusion, I had been infected with Hepatitis C.
For a long time, no one knew. The virus itself was not even officially discovered until many years later.
By the time I was finally diagnosed, my liver had already suffered deeply.
I lived with fear. With questions. With difficult decisions. With doctors. With test results. With hope that came and went.
I chose to be very careful with my life.
No alcohol. No smoking. Careful food. Careful choices.
And then we moved to the farm.
I started making real kefir — the traditional way.
Sheep’s milk. Living kefir grains. Time. Fermentation.
And I started drinking it every day.
Not store-bought substitutes.
Not powders.
Not shortcuts.
Real kefir.
Years later, before starting treatment, doctors checked my liver again.
The result shocked everyone.
Zero fibrosis.
This is my story.
I am not saying kefir is medicine. I am not giving medical advice.
But I know what I lived through.
And I know what I believe.
Real food matters.
What we put into our bodies matters.
And for me, real sheep’s milk kefir made with living kefir grains became part of my healing journey.
That is why I will keep talking about it.
Again and again and again.
Because sometimes one real habit can change the direction of a life.
