If you didn’t get a chance to buy the August edition of Downhome Magazine, you can now read the article I wrote about Cape St. Mary’s Ecological Reserve online! Check it out!

By Christopher Payne Cape St. Mary’s Ecological Reserve is about a two-hour drive from St. John’s, and the view waiting at the end feels almost unimaginable. It is one of the busiest places I have ever visited, though not because of people, but because of birds. With wingspans reaching up to alm...

We had the perfect weather and the perfect spot for some blueberry picking this year! 🫐

If you’re looking for a fun outing to pick some big, ripe, wild blueberries, I’d highly recommend visiting Hayes’ U-Pick 🌟

Check out the Sheds and Musicians featured on the Fogo Shed Crawl 2026🥳🍻

We’ve made a couple of changes to our slate of musicians, but don’t worry, we’ve only added more local talent to our lineup than before!

① Get ready to rock out at Darrell Miller's Shed, which will be featuring local favourite Route 333.

② We hope you're ready to have a proper scuff in Tom Freake's Shed because Music Night in Tilting is moving to Fogo for the night, featuring the talents of Al Dwyer, Everett Brett, Joe Emberly, and Bruce Pashak.

③ In Neil Ford's Shed, we'll have Jason Normore and Heather Goosney keeping the party going with their musical talents!

④ The devil may have went down to Georgia, but we'll be going to Randy Oake's Shed instead because we have Chris Murphy of Turpin's Trail, Joe Sexton, and Jennifer Sexton entertaining us there.

⑤ You won't want to miss out on Dennis Coles's Shed because we have The Keels keeping us entertained there!

⑥ Get ready for a good old-fashioned jig because, in David Snow's Shed, we'll have the musical stylings of Gary Mitchell and Gerald Freake!

We can’t wait to see you for an exciting night of music and friends this Thursday!🎶
