With so many new faces here lately, I thought it was the perfect time to properly introduce myself and share a little more about the heart behind The Common Table.
My name is Bailey, born and raised in Fort St. John, BC. I’m also a proud mama to my beautiful daughter Hayven, who is now 3 years old. Many of you have probably seen her in the kitchen with me, tagging along at events, or making little appearances in our stories over the years. None of this would be possible without the constant support of my partner Derek, who has stood beside me through every season over the last 12 years.
Watching The Common Table grow over the past 6 years has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. What started as a small side hustle while I worked full-time in the oil & gas industry has now grown into something far beyond what I ever imagined.
For the first couple of years, I spent evenings and weekends building this business while working full-time. But after becoming pregnant with Hayven, everything shifted for me. Once she was born, I knew I wanted to create a life that allowed me to be present with her while pursuing something I truly loved.
As time went on, Hayven started coming to the kitchen with me, and alongside her, this business continued to grow. Over the last few years, I’ve expanded kitchens, taken on incredible opportunities, and built a business that I now have the privilege of doing every single day.
The last two years especially have been nothing short of incredible. From birthdays and baby showers to weddings, celebrations of life, corporate events, and everything in between — thank you for trusting us to be part of your most meaningful moments.
Your support, encouragement, and belief in this little dream of mine has meant more than words can ever express.
