Sometimes life changes in an instant, and families are forced into battles they never expected to face.
Right now, Scout Harnest and his family are going through one of the hardest chapters of their lives. As Scout takes on this fight with bravery beyond his years, the Harnest family is standing strong beside him — but they shouldn’t have to do it alone.
After an exhausting journey of appointments, testing, and treatment, they now have hope through a specialized 6-week proton therapy program in Cincinnati. While they are incredibly grateful that the medical procedure itself is covered, the reality of relocating for six weeks comes with enormous financial pressure — accommodations, meals, transportation, and significant time away from work.
