Big Daddy's Sugar Shack Pure New Brunswick Maple Syrup We started making maple syrup at our home in Hanwell NB, a few years ago.

It started as a small operation with 6 taps on maple trees in our back yard. We had so much fun collecting sap and making syrup with our kids we more than doubled our operation the following year... That's right, we had 12 taps!!! In the summer of 2016 we had the opportunity to purchase a small woodlot that had been used as a sugar bush in the past. Still a small operation, we will be taping appro

ximately 100 trees in the 2017 season and hope to double that number again in 2018. Often, my wife uses maple syrup as a regular replacement for refined sugar. Both she and our three girls would love to keep a large stock of our syrup. However, with any luck we will have plenty to share with family and friends. .
