Everything is on sale at the Ferne Hollow farm stand this week. Tomatoes plants, cucumber, herb and pepper plants. Most plants are $3 for a 4” pot or similar size, $2 each for herbs in smaller pots and $4 for a 6-pack of cucumber starts.

We have the following varieties of tomatoes: (cherry) Sungold, Sweet Million, Pink Bumblebee, Blueberry, and Supersweet 100; (medium-sized tomatoes) Roma Italiano, Jaune Flamme, Red Zebra, and Green Zebra; (beefsteak and large tomatoes) Black Beauty, Moskvitch, B.E.R.T. ( Big Early Red Tomato), and Paul Robeson tomatoes.

We have hot pepper plants: Ring of Fire Cayenne and Traveler’s Strain Jalapeño.

For cucumbers, we have Suyo Long Cucumbers, Lemon cucumber and Early Fortune cucumber plants as singles and National Pickling cucumber plants in six-packs.

For herbs we have Russian Tarragon and five kinds of basil plants: Greco A Palla Fine Leaf basil, Kapoor Tulsi or Holy basil, Amethyst Purple Basil, Everleaf Thai basil and Everleaf Genovese basil.

Sorry. We’re going to be absent for a few days so our farm stand will be closed for the rest of the week.

We re-open on Sunday, and we will be back at the markets on Sunday and Saturday.

Okay. We’re open for the season.
Currently we have tomato and pepper starts. We have hanging baskets with Charlotte strawberries. We also have kohlrabi, cabbage, sage and a few other odds and ends. Next week we will have cucumber and squash starts. Happy gardening!
