2026 Offerings:
Veggies: Starting July 3rd and ending on November 13th you can select a Weekly (for 20 weeks) or Bi-Weekly option (every second week, 10 total). You receive between six to eight veggies from Good Earth Farm and from time to time from other select Gabriola producers. Each week is $30. All of it is grown right here on Gabriola. Owned and operated by yours truly, Graham Bradley.
Fruit: plums, pears, apples, berries, grapes and more —from Lynn Bowerman's Treeswift Gardens! Lynn is tending orchards and berry patches here, there and everywhere. Her curated Fruit Share is $13 per week and will run for 10 glorious weeks (it may not be a continuous 10 weeks, but you will receive fruit from us 10 times before 2026 is done). Start date will be determined by the trees and bushes themselves and we will harvest and bring it to you when they are at their prime. If you need garden advice or pruning or landscaping, Lynn does all that. Contact via our website.
Flowers: Without any serious cold weather, Fat Cat Flower Farm (new name) is having a fantastic start to the flower season. This year farmer Sarah Chiasson is offering a spectacular bouquet every 2 weeks at $25 each (a bit less than our market price). There will be a total of 10 deliveries. And very important to mention: she does events including weddings! Reach out if you would like her contact info.
Mushrooms: Thank goodness that Michele Mitchell's mushrooms are back despite taking a breather from the Farmer's Market (there will be some available at the Good Earth Farm market stall). She continues to grow incredibly beautiful and delicious mushrooms. You can enjoy 10 weeks of her mixed box of mushrooms, bi-weekly only for $20 for 1 lb or $10 for a 1/2 lb. If you want to order other amounts or are interested in her dried mushrooms check out her website @ www.gabriolamushrooms.ca/
Bread: Kenji & Yoko Abe of Sora Farm grow beautiful veggies, particularly Japanese cultivars. Kenji is also an excellent baker and has joined the GFH Box program with his Spelt loaves. Spelt is an ancient variety of wheat grain which he ferments and transforms into bread with natural sourdough starter. Spelt is a whole grain that makes a nutrient dense bread, perfect for toast or a sandwich! The loaves are available for weekly or bi-weekly options at $11/loaf. As this is the first year, a dozen loaves a week are available.
Eggs (NEW): Hidden in the heights of Phase 4, is Orchid Ridge Farm, where Mady MacDonald has a tremendous mixed-flock of chickens which lay several different colours of eggs. Available as a dozen or half dozen, weekly or bi-weekly of either option. $9/ dozen or $4.50/ half. These are unwashed eggs, but they are very clean as Mady is very astute when it comes to keeping her coops in order. This way they don't need to be refrigerated. This is a fantastic way to get local eggs without having to worry if your nearest farm stand has any left...
Coffee (NEW): Another new addition to this year's offering is Ingrid Witvoet, the owner/operator of Red Roaster Coffee. Add a pound of fresh-roasted coffee to your weekly or bi-weekly order. There are 4 roasts to choose between:
Folklife - medium roast. A blend of South and Central American beans.
Brickyard - dark roast. A blend of Asian and American beans.
Eclipse - French roast. Blend of South American, African and Asian beans.
Decaf - medium roast. A smooth, rich Brazilian decaf, Swiss water processed.
All of Red Roaster's beans are certified organic and Fair Trade, and she always looks for beans from women-, community-, and/or Indigenous-led cooperatives. You can order weekly or bi-weekly and it is the same price as at the market $25/lb.
Tea (NEW): Kayla Lofstrom was a farmhand at Good Earth a couple of seasons ago. Her own farm, Full Moon Farm & Studio is up and going and she's growing some amazing herbs and creating Tea. We're trying a fairly limited run of bi-Weekly only, 10 weeks. Price is for the entire season. Assortment: A surprise choice each week. A seasonal herbal tea adventure. Here is a list of some of the varieties that are likely to be included. She will also send out other bonus seasonal assortments like Fire Cider and Lavender...
