Good Afternoon Gardeners. I just harvested most of my Russian Red garlic today (200 bulbs). I'm pretty happy with my results, i used a tennis ball for scale. I used Organic Vitazyme throughout the growth and bulb development stages along with a 9-10-10 organic fertilizer. The Vitazyme helped with maximizing the genetic potential of each plant. You can see how well it helps with the root growth. Vitazyme is sold at the Galiano Hardware store. Don't forget to get a bottle for next year's planting. I usually soak the cloves in a 5% Vitazyme solution with hydrogen peroxide (to reduce bacteria growth) at planting, then applying Vitazyme every 2 to 3 weeks during growth. Happy Gardening.
