On Saturday December 8th 2012 – many Galiano businesses came together for a special Island-wide customer appreciation celebration when local shops, restaurants and businesses said a big Thank You to all their customers who choose to Buy Local and support us all in the process.We saw many young families, couples and individuals of all ages travel around Sturdies Bay & wider staying at Galiano accommodations – all choosing to visit us and deliberately 'shop local'. This is the essence of when Galiano Island’s community and economy thrive together.... we show off how proud we are of what we offer, we’re enthusiastic and everyone benefits.It is a challenge to live anywhere right now and be able to support a family, your friends and pursue a career that is fulfilling and be able to follow a passion - whatever that passion is. To do so 'well' and on one of the smaller populated Canadian Southern Gulf Islands presents its own set of complex circumstances to reckon with. Yet we turn all that around into opportunities when we build ourselves up with an inviting charm.This page is all about doing THAT.
