(pronounced per-SEF-uh-nee) is dedicated to quality of life, quality beer and quality of the ingredients that go into the production of craft-brewed beer. Situated on the Sunshine Coast, in Gibsons, BC, home of the Beachcombers TV Series, our farm grows hops and a variety of food crops such as pumpkins, garlic, apples, raspberries, honey and more. The name Persephone was chosen to pay homage to th

e log salvage boat in the Beachcombers, as a symbol of the values and lifestyle upheld on the Sunshine Coast. As well, the Greek myth of Persephone (daughter of Dimeter and Zeus), goddess of spring vegetation, works neatly with our situation on a farm and our ability to grow farm fresh beer.

Neev is a country singer from Ireland, now based in Vancouver, who writes her songs using a blend of nostalgia, raw emotion and grit. Through her modern country sound, she weaves stories about her childhood and life growing up in Ireland.

Bring the kids, the dogs, your pals or roll solo and enjoy some cold craft brews and covered patios while Neev’s music drifts through the gardens.

ART IN THE GARDEN continues this week at Persephone with The Only Animal’s residency at the Kiosk Sunshine Coast Arts Council and some amazing workshops including this wonderful immersive audio experience MYCOCOSM.

The Only Animal and Dream Tech invite you to lie down on the forest floor and dream the world through the perspective of fungi.

Farmer Keegan will be pulling the rest of them today and our kitchen cannot WAIT!

The land here, the people here….how blessed and grateful are we that we have access to fresh food?
Also grateful for the folks that put in the hard work of maintaining the soil, planting, and harvesting.
