🐏 SHEEP SHEARING EVENT🐏

June 6th and 7th
10am-4pm

To kick off our opening weekend, we’ll be hosting a sheep shearing event starting around 5pm on June 6th. It’s always a great time!

We’re looking for volunteers to help us skirt fleeces. If you’re interested please contact us. Text/call (204) 979-0588 to sign up. Volunteers can take home one bag of fleece as a thank you!

No new lambs this morning, but the sun was shining and the lambs were posing.

Did you know during lambing we check on our sheep every 1-3 hours? A normal active labour for a sheep should only be three hours maximum so we check often to see if any of our ewes are in labour and that the lambs are presenting correctly. With this cold weather we’ve been having it’s even more important to check often to ensure that ours lambs don’t become hypothermic. Thankfully, all our ewes have been lambing in the shelter if it’s cold and have been taking excellent care of their babies.
