Horses are now engaged in the role of psychotherapy assitstant through a discipline known as Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) which is increasingly being used to assist people suffering from Post Traumatic Stress disorders (PTSD), youth at risk, difficult to reach clients, corporate training sessions for improved teamwork and communication. The growing field of Equine Assisted Pschotherapy is s

howing significant results treating veterans, First Responders and their families who are suffering from debilitating effects of this invisible, yet very real disibility. This is due to horses having the ability to respond immediately and give honest feedback to the clients actions or behavior. The basis of the Equine Assisted Therapy is that the horses behave very similar as humans do in their social behavior. Clients establish their own connection to the horses!
