Yes. Yes we do. Every late fall, we head out into Manitoulin's woodland edges and harvest wild hawberries — dodging the long, sharp thorns as best we can. Paired with tart Ontario cherry and Manitoulin maple syrup, these wild, earthy treasures become our HawCherry Seltzer.

WHAT IS THE ANGEL BUS?

This vital volunteer service provides accessible transportation for adults throughout western Manitoulin, helping community members get to appointments and services.

AMAZING PRIZES:

First prize: A beautiful handcrafted quilt, donated by the Island Guild. 🩵

Second prize: Weber tabletop grill set, donated by Jake's Home Centre.

DRAW DATE: Saturday, October 10th, 2 PM

When he's not in the taproom warmly greeting customers, he's behind the scenes making things happen and fixing things — perhaps elbow-deep in equipment repairs or preventative maintenance. Brian's ingenuity, passion, dedication to excellence, and food-industry experience shine through as he troubleshoots problems and drives continuous improvement.

Beverage manufacturing takes a village, and a team committed to excellence and collaboration, both front of house and behind the scenes.

Happy Birthday to an incredible human — Barret! 🎉🎂

Yesterday we celebrated a birthday that means a lot to all of us at Split Rail.

Barret has been a key part of the Split Rail team since 2019. Since 2021, he's led all things manufacturing as Split Rail's Head Brewer, working alongside the amazing production team of Rob and Scott.

Barret brings the same care to the behind-the-scenes administration and science sides of brewery life as he does to manufacturing — from taxation spreadsheets and filings, to recipe development and lab analysis, to sharing his passion with others. Barret is truly one of a kind, and we're deeply grateful for all he pours into making quality beverages and experiences for everyone to enjoy.
