This is Penstemon Black Beard - it is a favorite of bees, humming birds and butterflies. It is a favorite of mine too - this time of year the blooms make dainty additions to bouquets and when the flowers are spent - the burgundy seed pods add interest and colour to arrangements.

I had to share! This bumble bee was snoozing on my peony and came home with me from the Grand Bend Village Farmers' Market this week.

When I got home it flew off to the garden to see the rest of the flowers! And quite possibly to meet other pollinators.

We were able to restock this morning:

We have the local greenhouse tomatoes you love! Our friendly neighborhood chickens supplied their colourful eggs - find them in the fridge.

We have added a nice selection of hanging baskets - our greenhouse operator that creates them for us asked, "Do you think these colours are too bold?"

So if you enjoy bold as much as I do - we've got some for you. Also we have plenty of the Classic combinations if that is what you prefer.

Here everyday until 6pm - check us out!
