🏺 POTTERY CLASSES ARE BACK IN GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR!

We’re back at Art Emporium, 136 Main St. on Saturday, October 10 with two hands-on pottery classes!

🌲 CLASS 1 — 1:00 PM
Make a Tree OR Whale Tail or dory boat
$60 + tax — 1 person
$100 + tax — 2 people

☕ CLASS 2 — 3:30 PM
Due to the overwhelming interest and requests, we’ve changed Class 2! You can now make a Gnome Mug OR Sea-Themed Mug.
$85 + tax — 1 person
$120 + tax — 2 people

All skill levels are welcome. Limited seats available, and your seat is confirmed once payment is received.

Our very first workshop is underway in the NEW Art Emporium space!

There’s something pretty special about seeing this space come to life, and what better way to begin than with ceramics!

A huge thank you to Denise Hynes of Crimson Art Studio for coming out to our new space and giving us the gift of ceramics. We’re so excited to learn, create, get our hands messy, and make something beautiful together.

We have partnered with the amazing Denise Hynes to offer this workshop AT THE ART EMPORIUM! It will be the first workshop to grace our new home on Main Street!!!

We couldn't be happier to invite this artist to our studio. Denise has over 20 years of experience in teaching art and creating exceptional pottery.

🕔 5–6 PM: Live pottery wheel demonstration with Denise!

🕕 6–8 PM: Make your own pottery mug! Choose a premade cylinder or try the pinch pot method. Carve, decorate with underglaze, and attach your own handle!

Your mug will be brought back to Corner Brook for firing and returned to Grand Falls the following week for pickup.

🎃 WE’RE OPENING THE DOORS...BEFORE WE’RE PERFECT! For 2 spooky events 🎃

We are SO happy with the response to the news that the future home of the Art Emporium is 136 Main Street! ❤️

And while we’re thrilled to have the space, we want to be honest: we’re still building it.

Morgan Art Academy is ready to go, and our classes are getting underway, but the Art Emporium itself is still becoming the space we’ve dreamed about. The gallery, the seating area, the creative hub, the events, the little details… there’s still lots to do!

But then we thought…

If this space is meant to be built with our community, why should we make everyone wait until we think it’s perfect?

So, in spite of our slightly ridiculous perfectionism, we’ve decided to throw open the doors and host TWO SPOOKTACULAR POP-UP EVENTS before Halloween!

Consider this your invitation to come see the space in progress, a little “mind the dust, come make something anyway” kind of experience. 😉

HOCUS POCUS PAINT NIGHT🧙‍♀️

Calling all fans of the Sanderson Sisters!
Join us for a fun, relaxed evening of painting a Hocus Pocus-inspired artwork with your friends. ☕🎨

Doodles is an art class, designed for students in grade 2-4 with an excitement and a special interest in art!

At doodles, we have a mix of free-studio time with peers, and instructed art projects that introduce your young artist to new art materials and concepts! Drawing, painting, oil pastels, print-making, sculpture, and more.

2 hours per week.
Tuesday 3:30-5:30

$350+tax per 10 week semester

We’ve been quiet… but there’s a very good reason.

It’s been a long and stressful couple of months since the flood, and we’ve been working away behind the scenes. Through all of it, we have been completely overwhelmed by the incredible amount of support from our community.

Every message, donation, share, kind word, and person who checked in on us, truly kept us going when it would have been so easy to quit...❤️

And now, we can finally share some BIG news:

✨ The Art Emporium has a new home! ✨
📍 136 Main Street

We’ve been quietly working on the new space, and while there is still plenty to do, we’re going to be rolling things out gradually over the next few months. Please mind the mess!

Our biggest priority was getting Morgan Art Academy up and running, because Morgan Art Academy found its home inside the Art Emporium. And we are so excited to say that classes are ready to begin and are nearly filled to capacity!

With that big piece in place, we can finally start focusing on some of the fun things we’ve been dreaming about bringing to the public:

🖌️ Drop-In Painting
🎨 Pick-Your-Own Painting Projects, with plenty of projects to choose from
🧫 Make-Your-Own Slime
🧪 A Slime Bar
🥳 Birthdays
🌈 Sensory play for toddlers and little artists

These things will be introduced gradually as we build out the new space. We know it won’t all be perfect right away and that’s okay. We’re excited to let the Art Emporium grow into its new home piece by piece.

And while we’re taking our time getting everything just right, there is one thing we simply couldn’t let pass us by…

It’s far too much fun for artists to skip, so we may have a couple of little October pop-ups in our sleeves. More on those very soon. 😉

For now, we just want to say thank you.

Thank you for keeping us going when things were incredibly uncertain. Thank you for believing in what we’re building. And thank you for helping us bring the Art Emporium back, now to Main Street!

We’re hoping this space can bring some much-needed life, creativity, colour, and community to the street.

🍂 Hello, Art Emporium fans!

Fall is just around the corner, and while there's still some uncertainty around when the Art Emporium drop-in studio, gallery, and creative hangout space will open, there's one thing we can happily share...

🎨 Morgan Art Academy has a home this fall!

After the flood, our biggest goal was to make sure our students would still have a place to create, learn, and grow. Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who supported our Mural Tile Fundraiser, that goal has become a reality.

Classes return this October, and pre-registration is now open on our website!

We're creating a place where people can come from near and far to enjoy hands-on art experiences, relax with a great cup of coffee, and discover beautiful artwork created by local artists.

But it's ALSO the home of Morgan Art Academy.

In fact, without Morgan Art Academy, The Art Emporium wouldn't even exist!

At Morgan Art Academy, our mission goes beyond making art. We provide structured weekly programs that help people of all ages grow their creativity, build confidence, develop new skills, and connect with others through art.

We can't wait to welcome everyone back this fall!

Our director, Wendy Morgan, has spent the past 10 years designing and facilitating art programs for every age group, from toddlers to seniors. Her passion has always been helping people discover that there really is an artist inside everyone.
