1: Trout Lily emerging - so exciting!
2: Garlic shooting up
3: Garlic the day before! Growth is fast this spring.

Saw my first earthworm, butterfly and mosquito of the year this past week 😄 And some juicy looking dandelion leaves 🤤

Today I noticed the buds on the beech trees and the spice bushes emerging. A new-to-me experience (No photos because forest time is extra-sacred these days! )

How can you be on the earth for 38 years and notice something in your "familiar" surroundings for the first time?
It happens every day! There is so much to learn, explore and remember and we still don't really know anything at all.

It feels like it's been a long long winter. Today I let the fire go out for the first time since mid-November. There's some grief in that. The fire that kept me company. Kept me warm and cosy and nourished. Time to move the fire outside I guess ☺️

Another transition time.

Appreciating as many moments as possible of letting go and inviting in at the same time.

As hard as winter can be I will miss the slowness and the quiet.

As exciting as spring can be I feel trepidation around getting swept away by its fury.

The emergence of life all around re-awakens the life within my bones.

Mostly in awe at how many creatures return and re-emerge after months of being "away". Resilient.
So clear of their purpose and place in the world 🥰✨🦋
