⚔️ Huzzah! Stolen Harvest Meadery is heading to Sherwood Park! 🍯🍷

This Saturday, October 10, we’re stepping back in time for Makers of the Realm Medieval Market at Spooky Strathma’s Medieval Days!

Our very own Greg and Lindsey will be holding down the Stolen Harvest Meadery booth, pouring tastings of our award-winning Alberta meads and offering bottles for sale!

Whether you’re a seasoned mead lover or have never tasted this ancient honey w**e, come discover what all the buzz is about. 🐝

Sample a little history, find a new favourite, and take home a bottle (or two!) of Alberta’s liquid gold.

There’s something pretty special about good friends, good food, and a little hard work together. ❤️

A huge thank you to my friends who came out and gave me an hour of their time in the vineyard last night.

Four extra pairs of hands moving through the rows—cutting, clearing, hauling and getting vines sorted—completely transformed what I could accomplish in an evening. In just one hour, we knocked out work that would have taken me several more days of plugging away at it alone.

And the best part came afterward.

We sat down together for dinner and quite literally broke bread together. I made a fresh sourdough loaf and Tianna brought over her very first sourdough cinnamon buns to finish off the evening. They were delicious!

Many hands make light work—and good friends make the meal afterward even better. I am so thankful and feel very blessed to have these people in my life. Sadly I did not take any pictures while we were all working or having dinner!

The next few days will be all a go at Stolen Harvey Meadery. With the grapes 🍇 coming on and fall frosts in the air, now is the time to get them brought in and crushed.

Okay, Days Inn Sherwood Park… you’ve officially got me hooked!

Two weeks ago, I walked into my room and was greeted by the most adorable Downward Facing Towel Puppy. 🐶

Tonight?

An elegant Swimming Towel Swan. 🦢

At this point, I’m starting to think I might have to extend my stay just to see the full towel repertoire.

What’s next? A towel elephant? A lobster? A full-scale moose?

I spend a LOT of weekends on the road, and it’s little touches like this that make a hotel memorable. Someone here is clearly having fun with their job—and I am absolutely here for it.

Days Inn Sherwood Park, the pressure is on. I’ll be checking the room tomorrow.

🍎🍇 IT’S HARVEST TIME AT STOLEN HARVEST! 🍯

These are some of our favourite days of the year—the days when future bottles of Stolen Harvest mead really begin.

Today is a BIG one:

🍎 Apple gleaning day
🍇 Grape harvest day
🫐 And sun-dried haskap harvest day!

Those haskaps are particularly special. We allow the berries to sun-dry and concentrate naturally before harvest, intensifying their sugars, flavours and character. We then use them to create our own unique Amarone-style Haskap Mead—our Alberta-mead take on the centuries-old idea of concentrating fruit before fermentation.

At Stolen Harvest, when we say our meads are made with fruit, we mean real fruit.

Fruit we pick. Fruit we glean. Fruit we crush, press, dry and ferment.

There’s something magical about standing among the trees and vines today, knowing that what we’re harvesting will eventually become something completely different in the bottle.

It’s messy. It’s sticky. It’s hard work.

And we wouldn’t make mead any other way.
