We are proud to serve the communities of Grande Prairie, Clairmont, Grande Cache, Valleyview, Fox Creek, Falher, Fairview, Rycroft, Laglace, Hythe, and Beaverlodge. Since 1937, New Horizon Co-op has been dedicated to serving Grande Prairie and the Peace Country Area. As a community-based organization, we strive to support local not-for-profits and provide exceptional service to our loyal customers

We have 9 grocery locations to serve you, including Downtown and Trader Ridge in Grande Prairie, Rycroft, LaGlace Pantry Store, Valleyview, Grande Cache, Falher, Beaverlodge, and Hythe. In addition, we operate a hardware store in Falher and have 6 gas bars in Grande Prairie (Downtown, Royal Oaks, Westgate, Stoneridge, Trader Ridge, and Derrick) plus one in Hythe. Each location features touchless car washes (except Derrick & Hythe), full-service fuel pumps, and a great selection of convenience items. We also offer 4 liquor stores: 2 in Grande Prairie (Trader & Stoneridge), one in Valleyview, and one in Hythe, with a selection available at LaGlace Pantry Store. Our 6 bulk plants and cardlock facilities are located in Clairmont, Grande Prairie, Valleyview, Fairview, Rycroft, and Fox Creek. Then, join us tonight at the Beaverlodge Food Store for another Community BBQ! We’ll be serving burgers and hot dogs from 4:00–6:00 PM, with all proceeds supporting the Beaverlodge Day Care.

Join us at the Valleyview Food Store from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with all proceeds going to the Valleyview Firefighters. Or, head over to the Beaverlodge Food Store from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, with proceeds supporting the Beaverlodge Day Care.

This was our second year awarding scholarships to our team members. Initially, we planned to award one $1,000 scholarship to a team member and one $1,000 scholarship to a child of a team member. However, after seeing the incredible group of graduates who applied, we decided to add six runner-up scholarships of $250 each.

James has recently joined the New Horizon Co‑op team as our Stoneridge Gas Bar Manager, and we’re excited to have him on board. He brings a wealth of management experience from the retail industry, along with strong leadership skills and a passion for team success.

Although he’s new to the role, James is already making a positive impact in the store and with his team. His energy, experience, and commitment to excellence are quickly shining through.

Meet Heidi!

Heidi is the youngest entrepreneur to come in and pitch us a sponsorship idea. At just 7 years old, she has been working hard to build her own stand for Lemonade Day tomorrow.

We were happy to support her by donating a case of fresh lemons and some ice to help get her started.

Heidi told us her goal is to raise $200, but we have a feeling she’s going to crush that! Even more impressive is how she plans to use the money she earns. Half will go into her savings, a portion will be donated to the Stollery Hospital to give back for the care they provided her brother, and the rest she plans to spend “willy-nilly” in the candy section at Trader Ridge Food Store.

Her enthusiasm and determination show that Heidi is going to do big things!
Please help us support Heidi by spreading the word and stopping by for a lemonade tomorrow. She’ll be set up at Champion Gym from 10 AM to 5 PM.

The Kindergarten class from Sheldon Coates Elementary School in Grande Cache had a fun-filled visit touring the Food Store today! The students got a behind-the-scenes look at how things run, learned a bit about where their food comes from, and enjoyed exploring areas they don’t normally get to see.

A big shoutout to Caitlin for being a top-notch tour guide! She made the experience fun, engaging, and memorable for the kids.
