"Why would I buy from a Cutco rep when Costco sells Cutco?"
It's a fair question!
Since Cutco sets the minimum selling price, the everyday base price is generally the same whether you purchase through an independent Cutco rep or a retailer like Costco.
That said, buying through a local Cutco rep comes with some advantages:
🔪 More flexibility. Costco typically only carries select pre-packaged Cutco sets or bundles with limited or no customization options. As an independent Cutco rep, I have access to the full Cutco product line—from complete kitchen sets and individual knives to outdoor knives, gardening tools, cookware, tableware, and so much more! That means you can mix and match pieces, choose from available handle colors, add custom engraving or other personalization, and build a collection that fits your cooking style, kitchen needs, and budget.
🔪 Personal service after the sale. Reps build a personalized purchase file for each customer, making it easy to help with future gifts, warranty claims, and local sharpening services. Costco does not create a customer file for Cutco.
🔪 Interest-free payment plans. I can offer payment plans for up to 5 months with no interest and no credit check, making it easier to get exactly what you want.
🔪 Exclusive rep promotions. Costco occasionally runs its own sales, and when they do, independent reps will often match or beat those prices. Cutco also runs it's own sales and promotions. Reps also have the flexibility to add value by adding discounts or including extras such as complimentary cutting boards, kitchen shears, individual knives, and more!
