I don't usually share personal stuff on the Bushel & Barrow page, but I'm pretty excited about this!

Exciting news!

I mixed up my release dates a little, but it turns out the Kindle version of The Dog Who Loved His Captain was released today!

As my first children's book—and my first published book ever—this is pretty exciting for me.

The paperback version will follow on July 1st, but Jake and Captain Ben's story is officially out in the world today!

The bins are full of delicious goodness again this week!

Superior potatoes are back for the summer, and we've just received the first locally grown shelling peas of the season. Since these are the earliest harvests, prices will be a little higher than normal for the next week or so. As the season gets underway and supply increases, prices will begin to drop.

The peas are freshly picked and the potatoes recently dug up from local farms and brought straight to you, offering that "fresh from the field" quality that makes the start of the season so special.

Bananas - $1.55/lb
Broccoli - $4.50 bundle
Carrots - $2.95/lb

Neil stopped by to refill our cooler shelves with a variety of tasty Sissiboo Organics salad and microgreens, which are definitely the best greens around.

Here's a snack or meal idea: pair salad greens with microgreens (not necessary but definitely recommended), sliced strawberries, crumbled feta cheese, toasted walnut pieces and a creamy poppy seed dressing (or a homemade creamy or vinaigrette dressing).

We enjoyed this for supper last night with homemade sweet potato fries and homemade beef and broccoli. It'll probably be tonight's supper as well.
