#3: RCMP confirm the search for Darius Macdougall is continuing in full force, with every responding unit working together in their fullest capacity. We can confirm the following are on scene:

• RCMP Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RCMP drones)
• RCMP helicopter & RCMP plane
• Police Dog Services
• Forensic Identification Services
• General Investigation Services
• 68 searchers from Alberta & BC

We are also working closely with Darius’s family, both on and off-site. Victim Family Liaison Officers are providing direct support using a trauma-informed, victim-centered approach. This ensures the family has a single point of contact with the RCMP, ensuring their voices are heard throughout the process.

#2: Crowsnest Pass RCMP is advising that the search continues for 5-year-old Darius. The search continued overnight and, unfortunately, Darius was not located. Numerous resources are actively searching today, Sept. 23.

: The search for Darius is on-going with numerous resources in the area still actively searching.

On Sept. 21, RCMP and Search and Rescue resources completed extensive ground and air searches with negative results. More information will be shared when it is available.

Darius has a medical issue that may prevent him from responding to others.

RCMP, conservation officers, Search and Rescue teams in and are on scene, along with other agencies.
