The Guelph Farmers Market has been a focal point of the downtown for 190 years and remains a place where farm fresh fruit and vegetables can still be purchased. It continues to be a community place where families come to shop for quality meats, cheese, produce, baked goods, preserves, and delicious foods prepared by the vendors. Our farmers work hard and proudly sell the fruits of their labour whi

Meet Alex from ! ☕✨

Alex has been serving coffee for over 10 years, but his love for coffee and conversation started with his very first customer service job. After a rocky and uncertain start, he slowly found his footing and discovered what he was truly passionate about: bringing people together over a good cup of coffee.

Last November, Alex took over Guildsmen Cafe at the Guelph Farmers' Market, and he's been a friendly Saturday morning staple ever since. Whether you're looking for your perfect morning brew or a friendly chat to go with it, you can count on Alex to start your market morning right. 💚

Guildsmen serves up all your café favourites, from brewed coffee and lattes to iced matcha and specialty teas, plus delicious Guelph-made sweet treats! 🍪

Meet Your Market | Episode 3

This week, say hello to Jay from Brantview Apples & Cider, home of Howell Road Cider. 🍎

Nine generations of apple farming, and everyone still has a hand in it. Jay and his daughter make the cider. His wife bakes from scratch. His older daughter runs the wedding pavilion, and his son designed both the cans on the shelf and the pavilion itself!

Out at the farm, you can pick your own apples and settle into the tasting room with a cold glass of cider — they've got a rotating lineup of seasonal flavours worth trying. Get an apple cider donut while you're there. You won't regret it!
