Dear Square Roots Guysborough Community,

After much thought, I have made the difficult decision to step away from Square Roots Guysborough.

This was not an easy decision, and it is something I have been contemplating since last spring. I have been trying to find a way to keep things going while also making the most of my family time. Spending many hours on Friday evenings and Saturdays has made it difficult to have the quality time with my school-aged children that I truly value.

I have spent just shy of three years building the Square Roots Guysborough community, and I am very sad to let it go. I will truly miss seeing everyone every couple weeks and having the chance to chat with you all.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who volunteered and helped the program grow. Without all of you, Square Roots Guysborough would never have been possible.

Thank you as well to everyone who supported the program—whether you came regularly to make purchases, made donations, volunteered your time, or simply shared our information with others.

A special thank you to the Guysborough Journal for their continued support and for consistently sharing information about our program and the impact it has had in our community.

Just because I am stepping away does not mean Square Roots Guysborough has to leave our community. If anyone, or another community group, is interested in taking over the program, I would be happy to help guide you through the process and share what I have learned over the past few years.

And last, but certainly not least, there will be one more Square Roots Guysborough event! Keep an eye on our page, as we will be sharing more information soon.

Square Roots Guysborough — SALE CANCELLED

Unfortunately, we have to cancel tomorrow’s sale, Saturday, August 8th.

Our delivery truck broke down twice today. Our driver has been out for over 10 hours in the heat and is still out there dealing with the truck. They did everything they could to find us another truck and driver, but unfortunately, they were unable to do so.

We are incredibly sorry for the inconvenience, especially to everyone who had made plans to come and shop with us. ❤️

We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support of Square Roots Guysborough.

We hope to be back up and running in two weeks!

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be hosting a Square Roots Guysborough sale this weekend.

Our distributor is unable to provide the regular variety of fresh fruits and vegetables that we strive to offer. Rather than hold a sale with a very limited selection, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this weekend’s sale.

We are hopeful this issue will be resolved quickly and that we’ll be back with our next sale on Saturday, August 8th, with the quality and variety you’ve come to expect.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you in August!
