If you’ve ever purchased a Lady Ann female from us, she goes back to good old SCOMAC Lady Ann 316A. This year she was designated a premier dam! In our herd alone this year she will register one of her own progeny and 9 grand progeny!

We would like to welcome and share our Bred & Owned Judges -

Scott and Elizabeth MacDonald own and operate SCOMAC Livestock in Hagersville, Ontario. They and their three children raise Angus, Hereford and commercial cattle and run a mixed cropping operation.

Both Scott and Elizabeth exhibited cattle in 4-H and junior shows at local, provincial and national shows.

Since their time in the junior program, they have continued to breed and raise cattle that are low maintenance, practical and remain productive for years. They have sold bulls and females across six provinces both privately and through Angus consignment sales. As time allows, they continue to enjoy exhibiting cattle at local fairs and at The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

Scott and Elizabeth have judged both junior and open shows across Ontario and are excited to have the opportunity to judge this prestigious event.

There’s something all together different in the bull pen this year. ESM 510N. Bar JZ On Demand x Churchill Sensation 028X. He has a calving ease pedigree and just a 73 pound birth weight. If you have heifers to breed, no matter what colour they are, this guy will add value.

Available for sale privately.

Prior to weaning bull calves this fall we snapped pictures of a couple of their dams. It’s been said many times; don’t buy a bull without seeing his dam first. Well rest assured, we only offer bulls for sale from our very best females.

Another Royal is in the books.

We didn’t exhibit any this year but we were honoured to be asked to judge the Ontario Junior Angus Association Showmanship on Thursday.

The juniors who organized the show are keen and professional, and the showmen who participated were fantastic!

With the count down to the royal only two weeks away, we’re happy to announce our Angus Junior show judges Scott and Elizabeth MacDonald.

Both Scott and Elizabeth exhibited cattle in 4-H and junior shows at local, provincial and national shows. A few junior highlights included: Scott was Champion Showman at the National Junior Beef Heifer show in 2010, and Elizabeth exhibited many division Champion and Reserve heifers at the show as well as Reserve Overall female in 2004.

Since their time in the junior program, they have continued to breed and raise cattle that are low maintenance, practical and remain productive for years. They have sold bulls and females across six provinces both privately and through Angus consignment sales. As time allows, they continue to enjoy exhibiting cattle at local fairs and at The Royal.

Scott and Elizabeth have judged both junior and open shows across Ontario and are excited to have the opportunity to judge this event.
