Fawn's is slowly starting again, thank you all for your patience! With the municipal elections looming, I've been thinking a lot about what I can do to make this incredible community even better. So I'm piloting a little something here...
These are tough $$ times for a lot of folks, and the price of food is absolutely bananas. Perhaps Fawns can be a bit of help?
I am delving into bread making and need to practice--I count on you to give my experiments a good home.
I just put out some ciabatta loaves (plain or sprinkled with garlic scapes) in the stand on Fawn Road. There's no price tag on them. If you are struggling and could use a bit of help, please take one. If you can spare some money, feel free to drop some coins in the cash box. I'd say suggested donation $3-4. All money will go towards buying ingredients and continuing this bread-by-donation effort. This is something I would like to do once in a while... Let me know what you think. I'm sure if it's a bad idea I'll know soon enough ;)

I brought some treats to the O Farm! Roasted rhubarb and cheese danishes, as well as gooey rye brownies with almonds and orange. Also in the stand: chive blossom vinegar, fresh flower bouquets, snow peas, garlic scapes, salad greens and Elly’s gorgeous quilted pouches and totes. Have a great weekend!!

Where are the baked goods??? Well you might have noticed that I have slowed down the baking train--the growing season has now started in earnest so I am focusing on keeping everything alive at The O Farm! I will still bake delicious seasonal galettes and other treats on occasion, so keep your eyes peeled.
Fawn's will also participate in some fun events this summer, the first one being a pop-up at Sunday Cider next weekend along with Always Grateful. Come by for coffee and treats! Saturday and Sunday June 25+26 9am-1pm.
P.S.: I am stockpiling fruit for this winter--if you have any extra in your garden let me know, I will happily buy it/trade it!
