🎂✨ Celebrating my birthday at the market this Saturday, September 12th! 🇲🇺❤️🇨🇦 Halifax Brewery Market

Storytime 📖 and hopefully inspire others🫶🏻

4 years ago, I had just moved to Canada, and it was my first birthday far away from home. I missed the usual celebrations, my family, my friends, and all those familiar flavours that made birthdays feel special.

So, on my birthday, I made a little promise to myself: to make Canada feel like home by bringing a little taste of Mauritius with me. 🇲🇺
That’s when I started working on my recipes, experimenting in the kitchen, and dreaming about what would eventually become MO GATO.

Just 3 months later, I attended my very first market as MO GATO. 🥹❤️
And now, 4 years later, I get to celebrate another birthday doing what I love... sharing Mauritian flavours with all of you. 🥰

One of the most beloved dishes from Mauritius is finally making its way onto our menu! 🇲🇺❤️ It is also a family recipe!

Our flavorful Mauritian-style fried rice will be served with:

Beautiful sunny day and we are back from our break with delicious Mauritian food 🇲🇺💕

We have a new product today!

Our creamy mushroom Bechamel vol au vent ( pastry shells) in limited quantities as we want you to test it out!

We also have our Fried Noodles, Napolitaine cookies, lamington cakes and Mauritian savory pastries ( meat and veg options)
