Just a little adjustment to our retail hours going into the Thanksgiving long weekend.
We will be closed Monday October 12 and 13. We will be open for pick-up orders only on Wednesday October 14, and return to our regular retail operating hours Thursday October 15.

We’re back with another episode of our Ontario Apple Series, and this week’s spotlight is on Golden Delicious!💛🍎

Golden Delicious apples are known for their naturally sweet flavour and are delicious eaten fresh, but did you know their texture can change over time?

They’re also a great choice for making applesauce! As Golden Delicious apples sit, their sugars gradually break down some of the fibres in the flesh, giving them that softer, slightly mealy texture.

They’re also not the best apple for baking, so they’re better enjoyed fresh or in a batch of homemade applesauce!

Time to shine a spotlight on my favourite apple… Gala!! 🍎

Did you know there’s a difference between Galas and Royal Galas? Royal Galas have a deeper red colour with more prominent striping compared to their Gala counterpart. But both of them are delicious and make for a nutritious snack!

Lots of progress is being made on the new Produce Express warehouse!🏗️

Last Thursday, the main concrete flooring is being poured on site, bringing us another step closer to seeing the new facility come together.

A big thank you to Stubbe's Precast for supplying the concrete, Kenmar Concrete Forming for installing the flooring, and Vance Construction for all their continued work on site!

It’s exciting to watch the progress happen week by week. We’ll keep sharing updates as construction continues!
